BIOACOUSTICS RESEARCH LAB
At ENES, research and training are closely intertwined, with three unique, high-level training programs open to international students:
The Bioacoustics Winter School (2 weeks, every January)
Basic training in bioacoustic scientific investigations and tools
All lectures & practicals in English, by a dedicated team of French and international bioacousticians.
Written and oral exam. Successful students receive a certification (Diploma) in bioacoustics by the University of Saint-Etienne.

The International Master of Bioacoustics MoBi
1 semester (sept-dec): lectures and practicals at the University of St-Etienne
2nd semester (January-August): 6-month internship in a research lab, private company, etc
23 international students each year.
The International Master of Bioacoustics (MoBi), a unique one year international and excellence training programme entirely taught in English, welcomes French and international students from diverse academic backgrounds: acoustics, ethology, ecology, biological conservation, evolution, neuroscience, informatics...
The aim of the MoBi program is to provide thorough knowledge and skills for students aspiring to access doctoral training in bioacoustics-related fields, as well as for scientists (e.g. neuroscientists, conservationists, etc) or environmental consultants aiming to incorporate bioacoustics in their skillset.

The Tropical Bioacoustics School (2 weeks, 1st session in November 2023)
Situated in the heart of the Amazonian forest in French Guyana, this unique 10-day field course is an immersive learning experience.
Organized by experts from ENES, the University of Southern Denmark, the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle de Paris, and the Office Français de la Biodiversité.
With a limited enrollment of 12 students, the Tropical Bioacoustics School offers an exclusive opportunity to study bioacoustics in one of the world's most unique and biodiverse environments.
